Villa Baroncino is so beautiful that it cannot fail to impress. If I was to give you any advice it would be this...DO NOT WORRY... I can guarantee that if you choose RIW to plan your wedding, it will be the best day of your life (and your guests)! Marco and the team have every base covered and no matter what questions you may have, they will have heard it 100 times before. Nothing is too much trouble and you're wedding day is definitely in safe hands!

We got married in Cortona Town Hall and every element of the day was so special. The Town Hall was such an atmospheric venue, the ceremony so personal and emotional- The whole event was just amazing!

Villa Baroncino is breathtaking, every apartment has more than enough space and the kitchens have everything you require from making a sandwich to cooking a gourmet meal. During the day we made good use of both pools and the kids loved having their own private swimming area. The gardens are incredibly well maintained making the drive up the villas long driveway bring a huge smile to your face.

The 8 steps tool that Marco uses is a fantastic idea. Nothing is missed and the choices available mean that your wedding can be customised to how you want it, he even has some ideas and suggestions that will make your wedding stand out from others.

...from the very first email we sent over to the team at RIW we were communicating with ease and nothing was ever a stress no matter how many times I asked the same question! patience was given in abundance

Planning a wedding can be so difficult but Marco has such a system that everything is taken care of with ease and just when you think you've forgotten something! there he is to remind you! no stone is left unturned 8steps is truly a genius tool!

We found the 8 step tool easy to use and an email reply was always sent back to us that day by one of the team. Logistically organising any wedding is not easy and you would think it would be even harder abroad. Not in this case, Marco and the team provide so much advise from legal procedures, to accommodation details and transport it made it much less of a headache than I imagined.

We chose to have a catholic civil ceremony in Cortona Cathedral- the cathedral is simply stunning our guests absolutely loved it and the rehearsal the day before put us all at ease. With the legal aspect, Marco and the team ensure everything is sorted out months in advance so there is no need to worry!

We were so confident in the planning process because of the online system that Marco has developed that is literally a step by step tool covering all elements you can think of….and a few elements you would never have thought of. This tool, along with continued communication with Marco and his team means that what should be one of the most stressful events in your life is actually a calm and reassuring process, leaving you to enjoy (or panic) about the countdown to your special day.

The day before our wedding we went to Cortona for the Wedding rehersal. Again, perfectly planned by Marco. We arrived at the Church and Marco explained exactly what time we would arrive, where the guests and the groom would be, what time they would enter the church, where exactly each family would sit in the church, what part music would be played….and here we go….a practice of the flower girl & page boy, the bridesmaids and also the bride and her father walking down the isle and taking their places….which I have to say I got choked up at so couldn’t imagine what state I would be in on the actual day of the wedding.

We visited Villa Baroncino and met the lovely Ina, Alexandra and our suppliers-i would strongly recommend doing this as it makes the whole planning a lot less stressful (as you can talk through plans etc) and its good to sample your wedding menu, hair trials etc. We stayed in Cortona (which is amazing) and got to know the local area which is simply stunning.

Flowers- We chose Cristina. My advice... dont even bother considering anyone else. The flowers were AMAZING. The theme for the wedding was "vintage" and we had the most perfect table decorations etc.

Hair/Make up- Milo Sabariz. What can i say... the man is a genius. I met with Milo in London (he travels to his salon every other month) and he created the most perfect hairstyle for me- Downton Abbey style which matched my Jenny Packham Esme dress perfectly and of course tied in with the whole vintage theme.

Ina was our concierge at the villa and helped with translations, preparations etc. In addition to this she provided pastries to the villa every morning and accommodated my husbands very demanding family! Contact was always possible with the mobile that was left for our use- we called it the bat phone! All of our suppliers numbers were on the phone and direct dials to both her and Marco.

Lastly .... MARCO. Marco is one of the most professional people that I have ever met and his organizational skills were truly amazing. What I loved most about Marco was his attention to detail, his drive for perfection and his effortless control over the organization/rehearsals etc. Everything ran like clockwork and you would struggle to find an organizer as good as Marco.

From the moment we started planning our wedding to the moment we and our closest friends had to tear ourselves away from the Villa, we were treated to standards of service that are rare to find but hugely appreciated when experienced. Marco and his team attend to every detail, making planning a wedding overseas seem simple.

As with any booking of this kind you wonder if you will really get value for you money, both for the venue and the services such as musicians and catering but in every instance the result exceeded expectations.

After sending our initial enquiry email, we couldn’t believe how quickly we got a response! With all the information we could possibly need and with all our questions answered.

If we are being completely honest, we had wondered was this too good to be true?! The reviews and testimonials were all with no negative words to say, we couldn’t help but be a little sceptical. We decided to book a mini trip to Italy so we could see the villa and talk about our plans in person.

It was a drizzly dull March day when we first got to see the villa but that certainly didn’t matter. Wow!!.. We were absolutely blown away!

The 8 step planner tool made this so incredibly simple for us! It ensures that absolutely everything is covered and gives you the flexibility to plan your dream wedding. Unlike many other destination wedding companies, RIW doesn’t just offer a set package, you are able to tailor make your own.

Every step had at least 3 provider options which ensured you were able to pay a little more for those services that meant the most to you and hold off on others.

Catering. This was something that we wanted to impress guests with and so we chose the full 9 course feast! We opted for Renata as we wanted authentic, traditional style food. Renata doesn’t own a restaurant and therefore her food is true ‘Mama’s style’. The tasting(s) were at Renata’s house and this was lovely gesture to allow us into her home. The food blew us away and was presented just as you would expect in a restaurant and was plentiful.

The wedding cake is something else. Forget the typical fondant sponge in England this cake is amazing. Mille Foglie – layers of filo pastry, vanilla and chocolate cream, sweetened cream to surround and topped with fresh fruit. My mouth is watering just thinking about it! The presentation of this tied in with the cutting of the cake is a truly unique experience and will create a lasting memory that will stick with us forever.

The main reason we booked was because of the reviews online, how professional the company appeared and how quickly Marco responded to our queries. His knowledge of the English language is remarkable.

We are both organised people and like things to go as planned but Marco is in another level which will ensure that your big day goes like clock work. People say getting married is one of the most stressful times of your life, not for us, Marco and his team did everything whilst we relaxed around a pool in the sun drinking wine.

We got married in Cortona town hall in the afternoon around 3.30pm. It was so magical with local people and tourists cheering for us when appeared on the balcony. We are getting goosebumps as we write this. Marco is the nicest guy and such a genuine person. It was clear that he was really happy for us on our big day. He really understand how important it is and treat you as a friend rather than just another guest.

As two incredibly busy people, we were looking for someone to take the hard work of planning away from us without taking away our choices. Marco and his team make everything so easy and their experience in wedding organisation means that they have every option available to couples to have the perfect day. The 8 Step tool is a great way of making sure every aspect is covered to keep you on track with the plan, easily making decisions as you go along! The villa itself and the surrounding area is truly stunning - bringing our guests to tears when Monica showed us around! There are plenty of wonderful restaurants and bars at the bottom fo the hill (about a 10 minute walk) as well as a supermarket to stock up on essentials.

When we found the RIW website, we were instantly impressed with Villa San Crispolto so we asked for some further information. All our e-mails were responded to quickly and the information provided was very well detailed. We contacted quite a lot of other wedding planners in Italy and while we were provided with details of some other lovely venues, for us, they didn't compare to what VSC had to offer, especially going by all the reviews on here.

The 8 steps tool is so helpful and Marco and Alexandra are always on hand to answer any and all questions you might have. Everything is so well thought out and we felt reassured at every step that we were making the right choices. Marco provides contact details for a range of suppliers in each step, so you are able to cater the different aspects of your wedding to your exact tastes.

Upon arrival at the villa at 9pm on the Saturday evening we were completely blown away. The photographs on the website are great but really do not do the villa justice. It really has to be seen to be believed.

Our guests were so impressed with their accommodation for the week. Each and every room was outstanding and full of Italian character. This meant so much to us as we really wanted our guests to have a fantastic holiday as well as enjoy our special day.

On the Sunday evening we with our guests visited Ciao Ciao. This experience is a MUST! Marco arranged free transportation to and from the villa to the restaurant. The food was out of this world. The quantities were huge!!!

We then attended the disco upstairs. This was a surreal experience. The Italians really do take their dancing to a whole new level! Although I must say the Irish definitely gave them a run for their money! For our lift home the taxi driver worked behind the bar. It was just a matter of letting him know when we wanted to go home and he was able to provide this service free of charge.

The wedding itself was out of this world. The Cathedral was stunning and the trio of musicians made the whole experience so moving. My particular highlights were the throwing of rose petals outside the chapel by our guests, walking through the streets of Cortona whilst being clapped by the locals and taking our guests for some authentic ice cream. Many of my guests believed that Hello magazine would have paid a small fortune for the rights to the wedding! The trio of musicians played for an hour whilst our guests had their apertiffs by the pool.

The planning process was so smooth considering it was all abroad. We were easily able to manage our budget using the online calculator and each step was easy to arrange and navigate.

Our wedding was due to take place on Tuesday 29th July and there was to be 63 of us in total. The whole wedding day was to take place at the villa with the reception in the marquee afterwards. This was the best option for my Dad as there are a lot of steps at the town hall.

On the Friday before (25th July) I checked the weather forecast for the wedding date and the whole day it was due to thunderstorm and rain!! Panic is an understatement. We contacted Marco immediately on the Friday morning (me almost hysterical!) and he literally moved mountains! The town hall was offered as an option however this was not possible due to my Dad’s limited mobility.

Marco and all the staff at RIW however moved everything (photographer, legalities at the town hall, catering.....everything!!!!) to the day before on the Monday.....I doubt there will be many brides who can say that they had to change their wedding day! Nothing was too much trouble and the relief was overwhelming.

We got married in the Town Hall in Cortona. WOW, what a stunningly beautiful town, one we will definitely return to. Having got married here we could not think of a more prefect setting. We opted for a string trio to play during our ceremony & aperitifs, they were captivating (one of our 2 year old guests now wants his own string trio!). They created the perfect mood & were even able to source & play music outside their repertoire that we specifically requested.

LUCIANO catered our aperitifs & wedding meal. We opted for a 5 course menu which was more than enough for our group, however the quality of the food was so outstanding that we probably could have eaten more. Luciano was also extremely flexible with our requests.

The wedding cake! (Millefoglie) Nothing can prepare you for it, Marie who hates cream ate two pieces & still wanted more! Don't be tempted to go for anything else. We would highly recommend the open bar which was great value for money & even had premium branded drinks at no extra cost.

ALEX the Dj did a great job keeping the dance floor busy & the party going all night. He catered for every musical request.

Upon arrival, we received a warm and friendly welcome from Monica who was waiting for us, to show us around the villa. As every person who has previously stayed at San Crispolto has accurately described, the pictures on the website are superb, but nothing compares to the real thing!!

The villa and surrounding area are absolutely beautiful. Each apartment has individual character, making them unique and each decorated with various antiques which gives it that real ‘rustic Italian’ feel. Each apartment has air conditioning, but we didn’t need to use this during our stay as the ceiling fans, along with the thick stone walls kept the interior cool. The gardens surrounding the villa are beautifully kept and maintained and the stunning pool is kept clean.

After our tour of the villa, Marco arrived and we then went through the details for the wedding day. Marco rings every single supplier in your presence to confirm all the details. This automatically put Gary and I at ease, knowing that each supplier was aware of their responsibilities for the big day. We were then given a mobile phone so that we could contact Monica or Marco should we need them for anything. No request was too great or small!
